Children of the Shore

In Children of the Shore, the author recollects the travails of a large family growing up in Dingle, Co. Kerry, at the turn of the mid-20th century, amidst a background of poverty, class-distinction and a clergy that was not always kind to the less well-off. John O’Connor also describes the comradery of family and friends which sustained him, and his family, in trying times.
